Tenants Harbor, ME, USA
For Rebecca
In the white depths of
a Maine winter my soul longs
for desert pastels
Haiku 575 (with a little bit of Rebecca's help)
What a strange day. A winter storm woke me up at 4:30am today. I thought the house would fall apart. It's so funny to me how strongly you can feel nature here in these wooden homes. I was never particularly concerned about the elements in my life, but since we live in the US I don't seem to sleep with the same sheltered feeling anymore.
