I received a phone call from our landlord this morning and he shared some pretty bad news. The house that we had agreed to rent for the summer isn't available anymore. He told me that he had something private come up last minute and needed it himself. We are leaving in 4 weeks from today for a longer trip and the timing couldn't be worse. We basically have a month to secure another property now - while most of the summer rentals are already gone.
