Today was a great and relaxed day. We slept in and talked for a long time before we went out for a coffee. Then we decided to go to Portland for the day. Rebecca needs a new iMac and we wanted to have a look at them before we order one for her.
The Apple store was packed with people - and with 25-30 sales consultants. That's such a fantastic service, someone instantly came over, was super helpful and we had zero wait time. On the way out we passed a Microsoft stand. The stand was pretty big and there was exactly one client sipping a Dr. Pepper - possibly a relative of the only sales person around.
I had multiple run-ins with Microsoft during my career and have always perceived them as extremely aggressive. I can't help it, but the whole experience felt somewhat karmic.
