I published my blog post about B&W film photography today and received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. I didn't expect that because I am publicly objecting Ansel Adam's Zone System in my article, which I expected to be indigestible for a lot of traditionalists. Photographers can be very dogmatic which isn't good for the community.

I'm glad that the post is finally published and I'm really looking forward to the constructive dialogue that will hopefully arise from it. I truly hope that other photographers will try this and maybe add their own findings to the discussion. I have never invested so much time and work into a single article and I possibly might never again. But this was worth every minute of it for me.

What I found somewhat entertaining was the amount of subtweets from the usual suspects. I thought that an article like that would make them a bit more courageous. It's always sad to see people respond passive aggressive, competitive or jealous because it's so unproductive. You can't dispute what you've never tried and you can't resolve a disagreement by talking about it behind someone's back.
