I picked my first 16x20 print up from the darkroom today and met with Gary afterwards to talk about it. He got super excited when he saw the print and told me that he thinks that my prints look like a Gibson guitar plugged into a Marshall amp. I was so moved and I'm so thankful for all of his advice, feedback and guidance. And for his friendship.
On the way home I saw a super cool car which looked like it was straight out of the movie Mad Max. I turned my car around and followed it through town to the Walmart parking lot. I approached the owner, Brian, and asked him if he would let me take a quick portrait of him with the car. He loved the idea and we talked for a few minutes before he had to run.
