We got up early today and went to town for Kringlers and coffee at Rock City Cafe. Gary was there and he was in a slightly grumpy mood because someone had yelled at him for taking pictures in a bar. We laughed about it after I told him I had that in a mall, at a gas station and in a McDonalds.
Afterwards we drove to Portland and met up with a few people from the Bakery Photo Collective. What an awesome place. The Bakery is a collaborative space with darkroom facilities, a studio and all kinds of other cool things. We will become members and can't wait to spend more time in Portland for printing and socializing with other creative people.
Sometimes life is funny like that. What you think is a loss is really a gain. You just need to let it happen. I'm so excited about the possibilities unfolding.
