Rebecca met with her friend Sierra for coffee this morning and I joined them in the early afternoon to pick Rebecca up after a few errands I had to run. We ended up staying for half the afternoon and talked about photography and cameras.
Sierra and her husband have a special needs child named Lila and a boy named Jude. I admire their love, passion and dedication for their children so much. Sierra's pictures of her family are beautiful and very touching, and I think she is incredibly courageous.
It really makes you think twice when you hear her talk about her daily life. I've seen people complain non-stop about not having enough time for their creative pursuits because of their family or their children. And here is someone whose life is dedicated to nothing but worrying about her family - while she is shooting some of the most beautiful, impactful and real photographs of family life that I've ever seen.
