We had a little bit of a shock today. We feed Timmy raw food and he basically inhaled his chicken today without chewing it properly first. Two hours after his meal he started acting weird and yelped when he sat up. When I let him out he immediately tried to come back into the house and lay down.
Rebecca and I both thought something's not right with him and decided to take him to the vet right away. An examination and an x-ray later the vet confirmed what we thought had happened: he had eaten way too fast and the bones in his stomach weren't chewed up good enough. He got some medication and a pain reliever and we have to have an eye on him for the next 24 hours to see if his condition improves.
The raw food diet he gets since he's a puppy is really good for him. As long as he isn't too greedy and takes the time to chew up his food properly. Fingers crossed.
