Today was amazing and full, a wonderful end to a wonderful weekend. Rebecca and I were out taking pictures in a blizzard all day yesterday and in the evening I met with Gary and I did a portrait session with him. He was standing in the middle of the road at midnight holding one of his paintings and sheltering it from the elements like a little child.
This morning Rebecca and I went for a walk in the woods after the snowfall last night. It looked so beautiful in the morning light. For breakfast we went to Rock City and met a few friends and our studio neighbors. We talked with so many familiar people today that it almost felt like we grew up in this area. I can't even put words to how good that felt. Afterwards we went back to the darkroom and printed for hours. It's like discovering photography all over again.
