We got a phone call from our darkroom instructor this morning who cancelled another session with us. I think this was now the fourth or fifth time within a month where something changed last minute with very short notice. I was pretty upset about it for multiple reasons. Long story short, Rebecca and I just rented the darkroom for the day and decided that we're done with instructions.
First Rebecca developed a few rolls of Tri-X and then we printed together. This was our first time printing on fiber paper. We spent 8 hours straight in the darkroom and made a lot of mistakes, but we were successful and made our first couple of prints ourselves today. I feel so proud. The prints came out really great and I'm already excited to go back.
I'm really exhausted but it was worth it. I've learned so much today.
