It had snowed for almost 24 hours when we got up this morning and I had to shovel the driveway before I could take Timmy for a walk. Usually we take a walk in the nearby woods but the snow was too deep so we went down the road instead. Shortly afterwards the snow plow showed up and the driver and I talked for a bit. He seems to be a really nice guy.

Gary and I did a little "show and tell" when we arrived at the cafe today. He had brought some of his glass plates and prints on handmade photographic paper that he had somehow assembled in his kitchen. I brought a few of my own darkroom prints and a couple of my negatives. I admire Gary's dedication. He really did not chose an easy workflow for his photography.

It's wonderful to have the possibility to exchange thoughts with someone so experienced and willing to share and give advice. I'm enjoying the friendship to Gary so much.
