Today was frustrating. I didn't have time all day to even think about a picture - and it was a very good day otherwise. But when I went out for a few night shots after the day was done, I got yelled at by a random security person at a gas station again while taking a picture. I was clearly not photographing him and he got all obsessive about it, showed me his badge and tried to leave the impression he could just take away my camera.
I don't know what's going on about security here, I haven't quite figured that out yet. If you hold a camera, you're automatically suspicious. It seems really obscure to me at times. Every mall has some cop on patrol, every open door triggers a beeping noise and most people don't even let their kids walk to school. How are they supposed to grow up with a sense for safety and capability if they feel they have to be protected from an ominous threat all the time?
I wonder what everybody is so afraid of.
