Saturday! Finally the weekend. I was so much looking forward to sleeping in (at least a little bit) and not having to drive all day or run errands.
We met Gary Briechle at breakfast today and I learned that he shoots two film Ms and has a LF camera in his trunk that he can hand hold. Amazing. It felt really good to talk to him again. We met him last year at Christmas in the same cafe and I took his portrait. We mailed forth and back for a bit after we were back in Europe. I really like him, maybe we'll become friends.
I enjoy the 365 so much. Writing down my thoughts every day helps me a lot. Reading back made me realize that I was too negative at times for the first two weeks or so. A few personal things dragged me down a lot more than they should have and leaving New England right away for a trip to Nashville was probably not the greatest timing. I'm really happy to be here.
